What Is the Albertsons Innovation Launchpad?
The Albertsons Innovation Launchpad is the premier CPG pitch competition in the country, now in its 4th year. Backed by Albertsons' Business Ventures team — the venture capital arm of one of America's largest grocery retailers operating 2,200+ stores across 35 states under banners including Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, ACME, and Pavilions.
Finalists pitch live in front of senior category managers, national merchandising leads, and executives from Albertsons' specialty divisions. The judging panel includes partners from Whipstitch Capital, the leading CPG-focused investment bank with 170+ transactions across food, beverage, and consumer products — along with KeHE Distributors, North America's largest pure-play natural and specialty distributor.
Top winners receive over $400,000 in prizes including cash, NielsenIQ data packages, media placement through Albertsons Media Collective, and — most importantly — direct consideration for distribution across all Albertsons banners nationwide. Past winners like Daily Crunch expanded to 1,680 Albertsons stores within a year of competing.
